Realistica embraces body diversity as a core value in our design, and our design and social media strategy showcases a wide range of AI avatars, from skinny to fat, short to tall, ensuring that every body type is respected and represented.

The issue of colour bias is often faced in the development of today's AI and virtual avatars. Research has shown that the default settings of many public and commercial AI systems tend to mimic white features (Daugherty & Chowdhury, 2020). In addition, avatar visual and behavioural patterns often show Eurocentric tendencies. Our company is committed to breaking the industry's pervasive white skin colour bias by allowing users to customise the skin colour of their avatars, ensuring that every user sees different identities and cultures reflected in our products.

Realistica adheres to the principles of fairness set out by Fiss in 1970 to create a workplace free of discrimination and equal opportunities in recruitment, promotion, training and remuneration. 
In addition, we have increased the percentage of women on our board of directors to 45 percent and the percentage of women in new hires to 52 percent, demonstrating our strong commitment to gender equality.

At Realistica we champion diversity and our employees come from a wide range of social, cultural, racial, and gender backgrounds. Despite the racial employment disparities in the UK, with unemployment rates of 7% amongst BAME groups compared to 3.2% amongst white people (GOV, 2023), Realistica remains steadfast in its commitment to fairness and equity. As Dike (2013) points out, while diversity training comes at a cost in terms of money and time, we see these as vital investments. Gomez & Bernet (2019) support this and emphasize that this type of training enhances workplace culture, employee engagement, and innovation, thus reinforcing our strategy for truly inclusive employment commitment to a truly inclusive employment strategy.
